Can Bankruptcy touch my stocks? Can Bankruptcy touch my stocks?

I have a stock program with my employer.

I have over $2,000.00 in there. Is bankruptcy entitled to any of that money when it is sitting there?

And are they entitled to any of that money if I cash any out? Will I lose my stocks when declaring bankruptcy?

Unfortunately, you cannot keep stocks if you file bankruptcy as these assets are not protected by the bankruptcy exemptions in any province in the country:

If you cash out the stocks before filing bankruptcy it could be considered fraud and carry a severe penalty; it would not be recommended to cash out your stocks.
