Can I claim bankruptcy with a car accident claim against me?
I just found out there is a $100,000 dollar claim against me from an accident in Jan 2010. I have no assets to pay this and this amount is about three and half years salary for me and I am only a contract/temp employee.
Yes, you can file bankruptcy and this debt will be erased upon your discharge from bankruptcy, so long as the debt was not due to any of the following:
You can contact one of our trustees to learn more about your rights and the options that you have for erasing debt you are unable to repay.
A trustee will offer you an initial evaluation meeting that is confidential and risk free.
