Declaration of bankruptcy of a person owing me money is fake?Declaration of bankruptcy of a person owing me money is fake?

Hello and thank you for reading. I have received a notice of bankruptcy that is unsigned by either the person claiming bankruptcy or by the trustee. On the first page, there is a notice that reads “Please be advised that the above-noted individual is required to retain the signed original of the document as part of the official records of this proceeding.”

Yet on the next page where two boxes are provided, one that says Original and one that says Amended, there is an X in the box beside Original.

This is the individuals’ second bankruptcy claim.

Also, the amount that is owed to me is listed as being One Dollar, when in fact, the amount is over twenty thousand dollars.

May I ask your opinion of this?

Thank you.

There should be a Proof of Claim form in the package you received.

Fill it out and send it to the trustee so your claim is recognized.

Once your claim has been registered you will be recognized as one of the creditors in this debtor’s insolvency case.

– Trustee
