Defaulted payday loans while in bankruptcyDefaulted payday loans while in bankruptcy

I filed last year for bankruptcy but I was still getting payday loans because my ex and I broke up and it was a big expense for me to move out.  I had three payday loans on the go and I just couldn’t afford to keep up with them anymore so I let them all bounce last week. I will probably owe a combined debt of about $2000…I can afford to pay it back in smaller biweekly payments but I can’t pay them all off at once. Can I add these to my bankruptcy claim or am I under an obligation to pay these back? I won’t be discharged from the bankruptcy for another year. At this point, how much further could it damage me if I just don’t pay them?

These debts will not be erased in your bankruptcy since they were acquired after the date of bankruptcy.

The only debt that will be erased in your bankruptcy discharge will be debt that was included in your bankruptcy paperwork at the time of your bankruptcy filing.
