Do creditors have to have a claim submitted by 45 days to vote at meeting of creditors?
CRA did not file a proof of claim for my proposal within the 45 days. I didn’t file my 2014 income tax yet because my trustee told me that I didn’t need to.
Can the CRA suddenly vote at a creditors meeting?
Yes, in order for your creditors to vote at the creditors’ meeting they must have proven their claims. They must prove their claims before the meeting of creditors takes place, which must occur within 45 days of your creditors being notified of your proposal.
