GST and income tax refundsGST and income tax refunds

After the pre and post-tax returns are filed does the bankrupt get to receive the quarterly GST amounts and if a refund is calculated on the tax return the year after the post-tax return has been filed does the taxpayer get to keep said refunds.  Also can the bankrupt file their own returns after the initial pre and post-tax returns have been assessed

You can file your own tax return for the year after you filed bankruptcy.

The trustee is entitled to keep the quarterly GST payments if he requires them to cover bankruptcy expenses, including trustee fees.

The trustee will file your tax refund for the year of bankruptcy.
