How can I resolve an undischarged bankruptcy?
I filed in 2004, and because of personal issues, I walked away and never followed through on any of my bankruptcy obligations.
It has reared its head again and I would like to resolve this issue. My original trustee is not around anymore.
For some reason, another appointed trustee passed my info to me with a “do it yourself brochure”.
I couldn’t make heads or tales of it.
I need to hire another trustee to help me complete the process. One issue I have is I heard that I will have to submit monthly income reports and the surplus paid to court will be based on today’s earnings, not my 2004 earnings, which were significantly smaller.
You cannot hire a trustee to get your discharge from bankruptcy but you can hire an insolvency lawyer to do this.
There is more information of getting a discharge at this link.
