Spouse’s income during bankruptcy

When my spouse declared bankruptcy the Trustee told me I had to reveal my income.  Now that the 9 months is up the Trustee advised my husband that he has too much surplus income and the bankruptcy is extended for another 12 months.

I just found out from an employee at the Trustee’s office that I did not have to divulge my income.

Apparently, we should have used the calculator you refer to before proceeding.

Is it too late to change it?  I realize he may be required to pay more but it is possible the bankruptcy would have been discharged in 9 months.

Your husband could advise the trustee that he was misinformed about his having to disclose his income and now does not want to do that.
