What will the employer think if I am bankrupt?
I am bankrupt and looking for work, a lot of jobs I want to apply for say they do a credit check on applicants. If I am bankrupt is there any point in applying for these jobs? What will the employer think if I am bankrupt?
I don’t think it would do any harm to apply for jobs (especially your dream job) if the potential employer is going to do a credit check.
Most people are sympathetic to a person, with a serious debt problem, taking control of their problem by filing bankruptcy.
Of course, you will tell the potential employer of your bankruptcy and what caused it before they do a credit check.
