When will I be able to rebuild my credit after a double bankruptcy? When will I be able to rebuild my credit after a double bankruptcy?  I am a Nova Scotia resident and I was discharged from a bankruptcy in 2004.

Ten Years later I was discharged from a second bankruptcy. (2014). Since then I have been doing very well and have stayed in good health financially.

After how much time, and under what circumstances will these bankruptcies be removed from my report?

Thanks,
Chris

A bankruptcy or proposal on your credit report will result in negative marks for up to 7 years (or 14 years following a second bankruptcy).

You can rebuild your credit before the records of your bankruptcies are removed from your credit report.
